The Sorry State of Our Nation

Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile."
-Albert Einstein

Would someone please tell this to the Delusionists in Charge?

The country that I love is still under attack from within. Our terrorist President and his half hearted Cohort are still tormenting We the People. Our nation's so-called leaders are treating this country which should be for the people, by the people, as a famous Brit has said:

I repeat...that all power is a trust; that we are accountable for its exercise; that from the people, and for the people all springs, and all must exist.
Benjamin Disraeli (1804 - 1881)

With the failure of the Supreme Court to uphold the People's right to accountability by the president for his actions and shredding of our constitution it is now like we are the invisible and silent nothings of existence. In fact, I'm sure that's what they'd like.

Dismiss Plame's Case? wtf!

I read, and I go more intensively to other country's news because our news corporations have sold their souls down the river of power and are no longer to be trusted: nearly like Fox/Faux News who spews nonsense into our ears daily with such utter inhumane garbage that the heart - the true human heart - pukes and revolts. Trust me here. A real human heart runs from that crap!

So here we go the world view for once:

AUSTRALIA

"FORMER CIA agent Valerie Plame cannot sue the White House for exposing her as an undercover operative, a federal judge has said."

Australia. Figures. No real news here, folks! Source: http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22103952-23109,00.html

"Ms Plame and her husband, diplomat Joseph Wilson, sued high-ranking White House officials, among them Vice President Dick Cheney, in July 2006 for damages to their constitutional rights and their private lives.

Ms Plame and Mr Wilson claim that her identity was exposed as retribution for Mr Wilson's assessment after a trip to Niger that former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein had not attempted to purchase uranium from the Central African nation, as President George W. Bush had claimed.

Mr Bush had used that claim to justify invading Iraq in March 2003."

-------------------

He what?

------------

Again from the same source:

"Judge John Bates in Washington dismissed the case against former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, White House political adviser Karl Rove, as well as Mr Cheney and his former chief of staff Lewis "Scooter'' Libby."

--------------------

So it gets worse and worse.

Okay....

------------------------

Again from the same source:

"Mr Libby was found guilty of obstruction of justice in the case, but Mr Bush commuted his two-and-a-half year sentence.
Source: Cheney, Rove, Libby Win Dismissal of Lawsuit by Valerie Plame

By Cary O'Reilly

July 19 (Bloomberg)

"udge Bates found that Ms Plame and Mr Wilson could not sue the officials as individuals in the exercise of their offices, nor could they sue the United States without having first exhausted other channels available U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments. Bates dismissed the case against all defendants: Cheney, White House political adviser Karl Rove, former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby and former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage."

-----------------------
He said WHAT? And, please...why????
Bless your heart, Cary!!!
The truth and the real story for once!

I am quoting other countries from now on. They have a much better view right now than anyone here - including me - and I am psychic and telepathic as hell!

Plame Lawsuit Dismissed in CIA Leak Case
Friday, July 20, 2007

By MATT APUZZO, Associated Press Writer

He says:

-----------
The utter butt!
And the brilliant writer above, continues:

"Plame and Wilson pledged to appeal."

-------------------------
Well, I would hope so!!! And if there is ANYWAY I can help, you let me know.
Sadly, thereis no Justice. There is just us.
-----------------

Source: http://www.nps.gov/stli/historyculture/index.htm

"Plame, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, had accused Vice President Dick Cheney and others of conspiring to disclose her identity in 2003. Plame said that violated her privacy rights and was illegal retribution for her husband's criticism of the administration.

U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments.

Bates dismissed the case against all defendants: Cheney, White House political adviser Karl Rove, former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby and former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage.

Plame's lawyers said from the beginning the suit would be a difficult case to make. Public officials normally are immune from such suits filed in connection with their jobs."

Lady Liberty said:

"Give me your tire, your poor, your huddling masses yearning to breathe free."

When will they know that Lady Liberty held the balance scales that
were meant to actually balance?

Never talk about Religion, Never talk about Politics Why Are They the Same?

A wise friend once told me, rather, a wise teacher once told me that to be of the most help to the most people, I should avoid talking about reliion or politics. I should belong to no group at all, really.

This is great advice if you want to have a lot of friends and lead a terrific personal life of pablum. This has never been and will never be my road. I take the long and hard road every single time.

Here is the beginning of my posts about the sorry blended church-state called The U.S., a country more hated now - for all the right reasons - than at any other single time in history (excepting only the genocide of the original, indigenous people of this land.)

This country was founded on genocide and disregard for legal contracts.

We gave plague blankets to our hosts and disregarding every single treaty that we made. This was because we had no innate honor. This is because our sense of humanity was flawed.

To the "mighty white" men who founded this attempt at a nation, the original people were animals, black men were half men and women were men's property. Black men could vote in this country before any woman of any color could vote. If you visit a Baptist church (see Recommended Reading) or any Fundamentalist church today, nothing but nothing has changed.

The flawed white men who wrote the piece of paper called The Constitution had a vision of a balance of power which is now officially gone so, you might as well use it for toilet paper. It's even worse; much, much worse actually, than flag burning.

Recently, not only have governmental funds been funneled into religious schools who generally lack science and math or any sciences but our so-called Justice system has upheld this "right." (Article coming soon.) We are educating True Believers nw, not citizens of the world to come.

Why is that?

I actually know why. We don't believe in our heart-of-hearts that there is any future. We're not sure we want one if this is the way it is going to be. The fundamentalists believe in a myth called "Revelation" where the goodies are taken to some Hollywood Heaven with some old bearded white man and the birdy people. This can only happen when the earth is basically destroyed. So they are bent on destroying this beautiful blue planet we live on. They call it "God's Will."

At this point, I require concrete proof before I believe anything. Any fool can say anything and believe it.

I am not a religious person. I am an American Atheist and a member of The Freedom From Religion Foundation. Politically, I belong to Amnesty International, Save the Children and The Rabbit Hash Historical Society. I have voted for five different parties as President: Democrat, Libertarian, Green, Communist and Independent. I may vote for the Republicans for Voldemort because at least they are honest.

We now live in a near-dictatorship. I call it Big Brother. It's here. Church runs State and every sane person simply runs.

Christians have utterly ruined this country. The founding father's spawn have denied the dream.

Silly founding fathers.

What were they thinking? Tolerance?

Well, not on dummy's watch, I mean George Dummy Bush. Oh, I mean George Dubya Bush. Whatever.

George has a wonderful and endless delusion in the name of his religion. It tells him that his brain is God. It tells him he is always right. It tells him he is the new Crusader and everyone not under his rule must die. Everyone. You. Me. People we love.

He has forgotten what a President is actually. A President is one of THREE powers. A President requires approval of CONGRESS for war. A President is meant to UNITE the people as a good parent would help opposing children get along. (The Caps are for his under-dummies.)

George, it is report card time and you have a solid "F" so I personally am firing you as my president.

I no longer care for Christians. They seem to believe that they are better than all other people. They seem to believe that killing is their profession. Killing. Stealing. Adultry. Lies. They gave up on that "Love your Enemy and Walk-A-Mile-In-Another's-Shoes" idea that wimp Jesus had. Time to get tough and murder for God not love people, for Christ's sake! It's Bible Light, remember!

So as they sit around waiting for the 4 Horsemen, who are not actually coming here, they destroy people, anumals, ecosystems, air, water, land as part of their coordinated Wipe-Us-Out-Plan.

Well, not on my watch.

I may have been a tad sick but I am back to form and you can expect that Harry Potter and I are going to settle this conflict once and for all. Or die trying. (I have the book so don't spoil it for me!)

I expect my life to become at risk due to this and even hotter pieces to come very soon. I have come to a place of peace with that. So, I am ready and willing and able to take the consequences.

Give me freedom or give me death!

"Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt." Etc.

4th of July Cleveland Style

We had a very lively 4th here in The Stockyards of Cleveland. In my neighborhood the noise didn't stop from about 4 in the afternoon until, oh, about 2 in the morning. Where do we all get these explosives from? How can we be concerned about terrorists when we have this much fire power in the closets of America? The free and the brave. Hmmm...maybe 'tis time for a reality check, assuming, of course, that there is a reality. I always liked Lily Tomlins take on it in her tinfoil-hatted bag lady's comment on Broadway: "What's reality anyway? Just a collective hunch."

I am not a patriot. I believe in the small blue planet that we live upon. That is why I took the legal last name that I did, when I found out that at divorce, a woman keeps the outmoded married name or returns to her even more outmoded "maiden" name or you pay to pick a name. So I picked my last name. I chose it to mean that the world was my family. I am a real dreamer. And, ok, an Old Hippy. I'll own it. I also chose three new middle names: one for something I needed and two for the daughters I lost in that first marriage. Unofficially I have also taken my lost son as a 4th (!) middle name.
